High School Rules
The High School Rules will be posted at the gym on the day of the tournament.

- Teams: Teams will consist of a minimum of 5 players at all times.
- Lineups: will be required five minutes before scheduled starting game time. Any person on the roster may start. Persons first and last name must be listed on the score sheet no nicknames. List only players present, late players may be listed on arrival.
- Players may only compete with one team. Once a player has played with a team, he/she may not play for any other team, regardless of division. Violation will result in suspension of the player and forfeiture of the game/s in question.
- Team Shirts with numbers will be required. Shirts must be the same or similar in color, with a clearly visible number (1 or 2 digits) on the back (front is optional). Numbers should be at least 5 or 6 inches tall. No tape please. Use Markers, Spray Paint or have them Screened.
- Shoes: Basketball or Gym shoes will be required at all times while out on the floor. No street shoes.
- Game Balls: Men’s Competition size balls will be used at all times for the Boy’s Teams and Women’s Competition size balls will be used at all times for the Girl’s Teams.
- Substitutions may be made anytime the ball is dead. Substitutes must wait for the official to call them into the game with the two official system. Substitutes must get an official's attention and wait for a dead ball to be called in.
- Game Time is Forfeit time. No grace period. One forfeit and your team will be dropped from the competition. Teams will also be dropped after two defaults. Forfeit = if no players are at the court by game time. Default = if a team does not have the minimum number of five players at game time.
- Time of Game: Two 20 minutes halves, 4 minute half time, 8 minute warm-up.
- Game Clock: Clock will stop the last two minutes of the second half (unless lead is 20+).
- Timeouts: Each team is allowed three timeouts per game.
- Overtime: First Overtime will be at 2:00. Any additional overtimes will be the first points scored. One Timeout per team per overtime, regulation timeouts do not carry over.
- Fouls: Individuals are allowed 6 fouls.
- Additional rules: MHSA rules apply to all other instances not previously specified.
- Waivers: All individuals participating in the tournament will be required to sign a waiver of release for athletic competition. Any students ages 17 and under will be required to have a parental permission signed to participate in the event.

Participants in the Central Montana Shootout Basketball Tournament assume and acknowledge the unavoidable risks inherent in playing and watching basketball, including, but not limited to, bodily injury and physical harm to the participants and spectators.
In consideration of the privilege of participating in the Tournament, the sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the person registering his/her team (hereinafter "Registrant"), on behalf of himself/herself, his/her heirs, legal representatives, and assigns, his/her teammates, and his/her teammates' heirs, legal representatives, and assigns, does forever and finally release, remise, acquit, satisfy, and forever discharge the Central Montana Shootout, LLC, the Tournament Sponsors, Volunteers, Co-Directors, Referees, Scorekeepers, Athletic Trainers, and Announcers, the Stanford and Geyser School Districts, and the Agents, Representatives, and Employees of all of the foregoing parties (hereinafter "Central Montana Shootout Tournament Parties") of and from all actions, causes of action, suits damages, judgments, executions, claims, and demands whatsoever, in law or in equity, which may arise for or against the Central Montana Shootout Tournament Parties as a result of or in relation to the Registrant's or his/her teammates' participation in the Central Montana Shootout Basketball Tournament.
By participating in the Tournament, the Registrant and his/her teammates accept the playing surfaces of the courts as being safe. By registering his/her team, the Registrant represents that he/she has the legal authority to act on behalf of his/her teammates and their heirs, legal representatives, and assigns. This release is meant to be a full and complete release of the Central Montana Shootout Tournament Parties from any and all liability that may arise from the Registrant's or his/her teammates' participation in the Central Montana Shootout Basketball Tournament. I hereby grant full permission to any and all foregoing to use photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings or record of my or my likeness from the event for any purpose.
This release is given freely and voluntarily by the Registrant, his/her team members, and their heirs, legal representatives, and assigns and is meant to remain in existence throughout the duration of the Tournament.

Photos
Photos will be taken during the tournament. Photos will be used for promotional, advertising and marketing purposes; posted on the website, brochures, posters, Facebook, additional social media channels and any additional online and/or print media for any legitimate purpose. If you do not wish your student or child to be photographed, please let us know at check-in or before the first game starts.
● Coolers welcome! No Concessions stand services will be available throughout the tournament. There are restaurants and a grocery store in town.
● Entry Fees: All team entry fees must be received and paid prior to event participation. ● Basketball or Gym shoes will be required at all times while out on the floor. No street shoes. ● There will be a visitor admission charge to attend this tournament. All welcomed |
